Heather Huszti, PhD
Chief Psychologist, Site PI
Dr. Heather Huszti is a licensed pediatric psychologist who has worked at CHOC for over twenty years. She received her graduate degree from Texas Technical University and her undergraduate degree at University of California, Irvine. Her post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychiatry and behavioral sciences was completed at University of Oklahoma. She currently is the Division Chief of Psychology at CHOC Children’s Hospital and serves on several mental health learning and research collaboratives and leadership committees.
Chris Min, PhD
Supervisor of CHOC Integrated Primary Care, Site Co-Investigator, CBT Therapis
Dr. Min is the Supervisor of CHOC’s integrated mental health services in primary care clinics across Orange County, CA. He also provides specialty psychological care for two of CHOC’s multidisciplinary sleep clinics. Dr. Min completed his PhD at University of Maryland, and his bachelor’s degree at Johns Hopkins University.
Ava Casados, PhD
Site Co-Investigator, CBT Therapist
Dr. Casados is a pediatric psychologist embedded in CHOC Integrated Primary Care. She provides evaluations and brief therapy services for primary care patients. Her interests include family systems, mental health service disparities and treatment access, integrated care, and cultural conceptions of mental illness.
Amy Morse, PsyD, CCLS
Site Co-Investigator, CBT Therapist
Dr. Morse is a pediatric psychologist embedded in CHOC Integrated Primary Care. She provides evaluations and brief therapy services for primary care patients. She also provides specialty psychological services in the Sleep Apnea Clinic at CHOC. Her areas of interest include disparities with access to mental health services, treatment adherence in individuals with neurodevelopmental variabilities, anxiety and oppositionality in early childhood.
Alexandra Roche, MD
Co-Investigator, Pediatric Outpatient Care
Dr. Roche, Division Chief of Adolescent Medicine, is board-certified in pediatrics and obesity medicine and a member of the CHOC Primary Care Network. Her primary focus over the last 15 years has been in the fields of eating disorders, obesity medicine, STI identification and treatment, and training residents in the core principles of adolescent care. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College and she completed her internship and residency at CHOC.
Jessica Ardo, MSW, CCR
Sr. Clinical Research Coordinator
Jessica Ardo is a senior clinical research coordinator at CHOC Children’s Hospital. She completed graduate training in Social Work at University of Maryland Baltimore School of Social Work, specializing in Children and Families, and an undergraduate Psychology degree at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She supports studies in the Psychology Division at CHOC thru the Research Institute.
Sarah Ruiz, PhD Ardo, MSW, CCR
Site Co-Investigator, CBT Therapist
Dr. Ruiz is a pediatric psychologist embedded in CHOC Integrated Primary Care. She provides evaluations and brief therapy services for primary care patients in both English and Spanish. She received her doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota Institute of Child Development and completed her clinical internship at Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She completed her postdoctoral internship at CHOC Children’s. Her interests include trauma, depression, and anxiety, and working with Spanish-speaking populations.
